Process

Although the basic process of ID and OD scarfing has remained the same for years new equipment designs continue to evolve to improve scarf quality for existing material grades while advancing into cutting new high strength and more exotic materials.

Design

Designing our equipment using 3D engineering software allows us to present information to our customers that allows them see the new equipment in there mill line from all angles. Finite Element Analysis has become a cornerstone of our overall design process.
